We Want You To Know and Be Confident About Our Practices for Infection Prevention
Our office continues to implement and monitor best practices for disinfection of contact surfaces, medical and surgical instruments and supplies used in patient care. CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) Guidelines are part of our clinical practice protocols and procedures with on-going OSHA monitoring and staff training.
Exam room floors are treated with FDA-approved Microban antimicrobial additives for resistance to bacterial growth. This method renders the surface permanently inhospitable to organisms so that bacteria do not prosper and multiply. Incorporated antimicrobials interfere with an organism’s metabolism so that it cannot properly digest nutrients or reproduce. The antimicrobials operate 24/7 to inhibit population growth to prevent odors, stains and damage these organisms can cause
